Awesome. What would I need to do to display text regarding something like restarting a down server or contacting certain personnel resolve an issue?

I'm using custom notes at the organization that I'm work.
I've made the following configuration: /etc/check_mk/notes/hosts/*
Where * is a file that will apply the custom notes to all hosts
The content of the file, in my case, is a custom url to the nagvis auto maps, see:

NagVis AutoMap <a href="/nagvis/frontend/nagvis-js/index.php?mod=Map&act=view&show=automap&root=$HOSTNAME$"><img src="/check_mk/images/link_map.gif" alt="" /></a>

Anyone making use of the custom host and service notes that could explain what they are doing to get this to work?

This is what I was originally trying to get working but was unsuccessful. I will keep trying though.

Hi Jason,

do you know the article about custom notes for hosts and/or services?
http://mathias-kettner.de/checkmk_multisite_notes.html

Very flexible and notes should get integrated in "notes" attribute of host/service (but I did not test it myself). If notes attribute gets used you can edit your notifications to include macros $HOSTNOTES$ and/or $SERVICENOTES$...

HTH,
Marcel
