Assuming you're using vanilla Nagios 3.5.1, then you'll need this patch:

I still have a problem with that issue when Nagios is crashing every midnight. The full report is here:
http://tracker.nagios.org/view.php?id=516, but it looks like it has been created few years ago and it's still in pending state. Do we know if there will be any fix in check_mk? I found some patch but it's not included to the latest version so I prefer to not use it yet.
