[Check_mk (english)] How to send alert when check_mk agent fails to return data

Hi all,

We recently had a host go "down" due to CPU thrashing, but it was still responding to pings, and although the check_mk agent was still listening, it doesn't appear to have been returning intelligible data - there are a lot af "nan" values in the service graphs. However, the alert history shows nothing was detected as being wrong, so no alerts were sent. The only indication seems to be that the check_mk execution time dropped to near zero, presumably because nothing (or very little) was being returned. I suspect that the performance data scripts for the missing checks were not being run.

Is there any way to generate an alert when this kind of situation occurs?
