[omd-users] What does this mean

Sorry forgot to ask on my last post 


Under "Services of host" The red 'X' when mouse over says,: "Create rule to permanently disable this service". Does this mean on the device or just in Check_MK? 
There are certain serves we are not wanting to monitor, e.i. user switch ports, and I am looking for a way to remove them.
